- General Policy Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all bookings, in-person cinematography coaching sessions, and instructional workshops provided by Cinedidact (“we”, “us”, or “our”) via www.cinedidact.com.
Because our services involve physical attendance booking and upfront resource allocation, cancellations, transfers, and refund requests are handled in accordance with the specific conditions set out below.
- EU Statutory Right of Withdrawal & Digital Delivery Exception
In accordance with Article 16 of the European Union Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU) and relevant European consumer legislation:
Exemption for Specific Date Services: The standard 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to distance contracts for services related to leisure or educational events set for a specific date or period of performance.
Waiver on Service / Digital Commencement: Where session access, instructional materials, or accompanying digital content are provided prior to or during a session, once digital performance or delivery has commenced, the user explicitly waives their statutory 14-day right of withdrawal / refund.
- Cancellation and Refund Eligibility
A. Deposit Payments
As outlined in our booking terms, initial deposit payments securing a venue and reserved session schedule are non-refundable once direct consultation and venue preparation have commenced.
B. Participant-Initiated Cancellations
Notice Provided 14 Business Days or More Prior to Session: Participants requesting cancellation at least 14 business days before the scheduled session date may receive a partial refund of payments made (excluding the initial non-refundable deposit) or transfer their booking to a future available date without extra charge.
Notice Provided Less Than 14 Business Days Prior to Session: Due to fixed venue commitments and limited attendance capacity, cancellations submitted less than 14 business days before the scheduled session start time are non-refundable.
C. Rescheduling & Participant Transfers
Participants may transfer their confirmed seat to another individual upon submitting written notification to course@cinedidact.com at least 48 hours prior to the session start time.
- Rescheduling or Cancellations by Cinedidact
If a scheduled workshop or coaching session must be cancelled or rescheduled by us due to unforeseen circumstances or adverse operational conditions:
Participants will be notified immediately via the email address provided during booking.
Participants will be offered the choice of a full refund of all amounts paid for the specific session or a direct transfer to an alternative mutually agreed session date.
- Refund Processing Procedure
Refund Method: All approved refunds will be issued exclusively back to the original payment card or payment account used at checkout.
Processing Timeframe: Approved refunds are processed promptly and typically reflect in your account within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your card issuer or banking institution.
